Avatar - http://www.avatarmovie.com/ James Cameron's (Titanic fame) new movie is one of the most visually engaging movies of all time. Somehow he made this completely fake world and people seem not only believable but taken for granted. Althought running more than 2-1/2 hours long, not once did I find myself looking at my watch (note that I am EASILY bored). The Avatars were nothing like anything I have seen. The head of the military Colonel Miles Quaritch was so simple in his approach and strategy that it allowed the audience to focus more on the Avatars. This will win some Academy Awards but not in the categories where the winner comes on stage. These will be for the geek awards.
