
So in considering the array of communication devices/tools currently available at your workplace, is there a place for a blog as a means of communication for a global organization?

2. Given the confidentiality of business info would a blog still be worthwhile if the information was focused more on organizational changes, promotions, awards, community service events, etc.? A. ReplyDeleteI think that a blog would be a better way to communicate, if the business feels that is the best way to reach out to a younger demographic. In response to your questions:
ReplyDelete1) C - I would access a blog very infrequently, unless it pertained directly to my job. There are so many sites and sources of information as it is, that it would seem more like one more place I had to log in to access information.
2)B- I thought that we already received emails about those things (awards, promotions, etc) and GE has its own community service website that has that information.
3)C Facebook is more of a personal site that I believe should be kept separate from work.

Q3 - B, I think facebook would be more distracting because of all the games, types of messages, etc. A blog would be more focused on the things that matter without the distractions.
